Oh, my beautiful companion,
How you sit at my window and stare in at me.
Your endlessly blackened eyes fill my mind
As you keep watch and wait for my clock to strike.
At times you become so impatient,
But you refuse to ever leave me.
I am drawn to you with a deeply wicked longing.
My little beast,
Your glossed feathers grow a sickly sheen in the fading light.
You see every inch of my soul
And every dark thought that dares cross my mind.
You feed on them.
Everyone else fears you,
But I am fascinated by your will.
Intrigued by your creativity and dangerous wit.
I long to fly with you
And I will,
But you keep me waiting.
Your starless midnight appearance
Flits around in my dreams just out of my reach.
I have a sickened need to dance with you.
I can already hear the music and it swells.
The pulse matching the beat of your dark wings.
Your shrill call beckons me away from here
And I can feel the familiar taste of poison burning upon my lips.
Your powerful presence fills me with such a desire
To join with you, to dwell in the darkness
And witness the light dwindle to nothingness.
My repulsively sweet attraction to you consumes all other needs,
But I am ravenous for you to take me.
